UBER DRIVER SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE YOU HERE, BUT I CAN

9.44am, booking Uber from the homestay to the airport. The driver is ZUK (not his real name) and asked him to send our first group of 4 pax. He left first with the pax, while the other 8 pax riding on another van sapu haramj who came later. Our normal transporter with the Zon 1 official taxi van (for the last few days here) was unable to send us today. Later, when I told him about the Uber car who already pickep up the first group, he seemed surprised and upset. He said they (the Uber) cannot operate here in Kuching. Ale uto la pakcik. I told him that the government already approved it. "Not here in Kuching and Sarawak," he showed his disagreement. I said that it's the Malaysia parliament lah. He still looked unhappy. Then later we talked and talked about his van sapu haramj as well. He is driving the van to transport mostly tourists from Semenanjung. He got all the side tepi longkang jobs from the travel agents and his other driver friends. In addition to transferring all the pax to their destinations, he also doing tourist guides as well. Good lah.

UBER XL COMES WITH A BIG DRIVER

3.00pm sharp, after collecting our bags, I booked an UberXL and got HAI (not his real name) as a driver from the Senai airport to my home sweet home. At first I expected the UberXL with big cars like Alphard or Estima, but the one who pick us up was a big chubby driver and his Avanza only. It's an old Avanza okay. Later I found out from the chubby transporter that he is driving part time only and already registered for Grab for more than 1 month but still pending. He suspected bcoz of his old car. He liked to talk and talk and I just layan. Even he used the new road connecting the Plus highway at Persimpangan Bukit Amber bypassing the Senai old town to Pasir Gudang highway. Okay lah.

Friday, 9 December 2016. This weekend I will be traveling to oversea for my son's wedding.

9.19pm, arriving at Kuching International Airport. Booking Uber, got MUHAMAD as a driver. He called me, asking to come up to the departure hall. Aiyah! I am a bit upset. "There are many teksi drivers over there lah uncle," he said cowardly. I told him that I dont care about them as they are also doing the unlawful acts. So he agreed to drive down to the arrival hall. Later, inside the cab, we talked and talked. "Uncle, those teksi drivers are very fierce! They will aim my car. You know uncle, in Kuching, only one Black Almera with Johor plate no. and easily spotted by them!" the young man shouted at me. But he seems friendly and used Waze only. He doesn't trust Google maps as it not accurate in this cat city. He also told me that there is no Grabcar in the city. Later, at the dropoff, I reckon I can use the promotion code "ILITTLENAUGHTY" and got rm5 discount. The fare was rm15.59, so I gave him rm10 tips. He said, "uncle, are you sure about this?" while holding the rm20 note. I just nodded and told him not to worry. "It's your rejeki tonight, mat." My dear diary, actually I didn't tell him that I was an Uber driver and felt pity for them to have a very cheapput tambang fare. I aldo didn't tell him that I got you as my blog, my dear diary. OTL.

SO I GOT BANNED TODAY WITHOUT WARNING

Registered Grabcar on 11th March 2016,
Drove Grabcar on 22nd March 2016 after 3 days ban after "picking up" my first rider.

After 8 months of driving Grabcar, last Tuesday (22 Nov) was my last driving it, and today (Wed, 30 Nov 2016) I got sms from Grabcar out of blue, without any warning.

RM0.00: GRAB regret to inform you that your driver account will be deactivated as your booking history shows that you have breached our code of conduct. Thank you.

I used to drive Grabcar everyday over 8 months ago taking all the trips regardless of the fare, but recently I concentrate on incentive hours. So today they banned my driver account without reason. They did not provide any reason on what the suspicious activity was. Anybody got this experience like this before? Since I am not driving Grabcar now and busy with my new office works, I will appeal later later lah.

Updated. 1/12/16, 6.22am, I sent an email to Grab support.my@grab.com asking for the reason, how long is the ban and can I appeal or not.

Updated. 2/12/16, 10.10am, I called Grab customer service, a young matcha on the phone. After talking and waiting for 13min, he told me the management already banned me for life. "It's under management issue," he said, "no appeal, uncle." "Can I help you with anything else?" Fook yew lah Grabcar.
