UBER IS MORE POPULAR IN KL HOWEVER ...

Thursday, 5 April 2018.

9.49am, AAA 5 pax of Malay executives at Integra Tower Intermark going to MIDF Jln Raja Chulan. I dropped them off by the roadside since the lobby was occupied by the event tents.

10.12am, MNJ an India family tourists at Suasana Bukit Ceylon. Just about to start cik Jnulekasnova, she texted me, "where r u?" and "we waiting." Aiyah, panda lela lah. I sent them to Thean Hou temple Jalan Robson.

Then I drove straight to Pavilion area, specifically behind Lot10 again and waited for any KLIA airport trip. Dear diary, in one hour, there were many Uber pings, about 12 pings compared to a couple of Grab pings, but none of them going to KLIA, so I ignored all of them.

Since I had a run errand to do at 2pm, so I switched off the apps on Jalan Ampang and drove home.

Dear diary, today is my last day driving Uber, and this is my last entry on driving Uber and grabcar in KL/JB since I got a temporary office job in Lumut next week. Thanks also to my dearest silent readers on this blog and my other FB page for reading my journal to the end. See you all next time. God willing, insyaAllah.

DE LAS COPEQUE OF UBER

Wednesday, 4 April 2018.

Woke up early in the morning.
5.17am started cik Jnulekasnova and the apps.
Break at Shell Jln Damai and had breakfast at Damai corner.

After more than 2 hours of waiting the pings...

7.36am, SWK 5 Banglas at Jln Haji Hashim Kampung Baru. Whime helping them to get in the cab, suddenly I stepped on dog shit. Demm. Need to clean up at nearby medan selera and wash my slippers. Unfortunately, after dropoff at Pavilion construction site, I reckon their shoes also got the dog shit! Donno what to say, so I folded the mats and put them at the back for later washing.

8.00am, KHI 4 pax China dragging their baggages at the Fahrenheit 88 mall and they are going to KLIA2. Yay!
Arrived at 8.41am.

9.35am, mr BLA ping me from KLIA1. When I asked his destination, he replied ahort, “kl”. I said ok, and when I about to move cik Jnulekasnova, he xancelled. Panda lela lah.

Then suddenly this one apek park his car next to cik Jnulekasnova. And the he started to talk and talk about his Grab, his bicycle business and hobby, his bachelor etc.

9.58am, mr BLA again ping me and I accepted. Latee je told me that the system was cancelled on previous ping. Okay lah, I dont want to argue. So I sent him and his two India business staff to Nexus Bangsar South.

12.34pm, ARI at Ansa hotel sending to Pantai hospital. An Indon family.

1.33pm, got ping from an Arab with long trip 40+ min to Nilai. Later je cancelled. Good lah.

Run errands at Jalan Astaka Shah Alam.
Drive to Putrajaya and Landside KLIA.

10.09pm, MCL at KLIA2, but when I texted, no reply. I cancelled after 13 minutes.

10.59pm, MRL at KLIA2 with her 2 young kids asking whether my car can fit their surfboad. I said no worries. Later I sent them to the jungle of Jalan Gallagher Bukit Tunku KL.

I drove straight home sweet home.

7.27am, ANJ at KLIA2 wanted to go to Le Meredien hotel KL Sentral. When I picked him up with his bf at KLIA2 arrival hall, he wanted to fetch another bf at KLIA1. I said no problem. The traffic jam was very bad this morning during rush hour.

Dear diary, this morning there was a glitch on Grab apps. Not only me, but all the Grab drivers experiencing the jobs were ping with no destination, just like Uber apps is. OTL But hours later, the Grab apps came back to normal, ie with showing the destination.

9.19am, with Grab apps showing no destination, ARF ping me from KL Sentral Departure but after waiting so long, and reply on my messages and calls, so I cancelled as no rider show.

Break at Petronas Bukit Bandaraya Bangsar.

9.57am, DNS ping me from his house at Lorong Maarof Bangsar Park with his sick mother holding the pee plastic bag on her hand and a wheelchair. I sent them to General Hospital KL. We were talking about Uber and Grab bought over, Pasir Gudang's Titan petrochemical plants and his recently Kia car got bang by other.

10.35am, PRM an India family at Double Tree by Hilton hotel KLCC going to Batu Caves.

Break at Petronas Batu Caves. Short 2 minutes nap?

11.49am, MAY a China family at Batu Caves temple sending to Muzium Tekstil Jln Sultan Hishamuddin KLCC.

12.23pm, JST 6 local Chinese officemates at Kedai Kopi Lai Foong Jln Tun HS Lee sending to President College KL Jln Raja Laut.

1.00pm, ZEZ at Jln Bunus 6 KLCC Masjid India. 7 pax of Brunei tourists going to Vortex Suites KLCC. I told them that my car, cik Jnulekasnova, is 6 seater, not seven passengers, but since I am in a good mood today, so I took them anyway.

Break and lunch at my favorite Damai corner.

2.10pm, ARI ARI at Damai 88 Condom going to LRT Masjid Jamek. 6 pax of sexy "maknyah"... really sexy as one of them not wearing bra as the watermelon the steam nipples are protruding out... auww .. and all of them likes to "melatah".

2.35pm, RCL 5 pax of Chinese Canada? at Jalan MARA Chow Kit going to Suria KLCC.

3.09pm, BZH a Brunei family at Hotel Royal Bukit Bintang sending to IKEA Cheras.

4.22pm, KHL an Arab family at Main Entrance Berjaya Times entrance going to Parkroyal Serviced Suites, not Parkroyal hotel. Aiyah. And it was a downpour with tremendous lightnings. Actually they are Lebanon who migrated to Australia. Later I asked him about his tattoes on his arms and body as he asked me whether I am a Muslim or not.

4.44pm, NBL a 6 Malay girl students waiting at Menara Bank Islam Jalan Tun Perak going to Institut Profesional Baitulmal Jln Perkasa Maluri.

5.06pm, DVY 6 pax of India young workers at Grand Millennium hotel Bukit Bintang. When I was almost there, she messaged me without patience, "wru, we are waiting..." Aiyah panda lela lah. Inside the cab, they were talking and laughing and talking, while a supervisor he seemed playing his phone next to me. I sent them to  WTF (What The Fcuk?) Restaurant Lorong Maarof Bangsar, but when almost there, they were screaming and telling me to send them to their office! Kannina. So I completed the trip and checking the fare price and agreeing to send them to Wisma Standard Chartered (Wisma Scope).

7.17pm, AHT a group of Myanmar boys at the Pusat Komuniti Sri Petaling soccer field going back to Jalan Gandek Pudu. When I saw 7 boys are coming to my cab, at first I get upset but later I agreed to take all of them without extra charge. Am I so good or what?

7.45am, SIL at Jln Ampang Hilir wanted to go to Exit Lebuhraya Duta Hulu Klang Setapak. Since the pickup point is very far far 27 min away, so I texted him/her. Then suddenly he/she CANCELLED while I was ondway. Panda lela lah.

8.46am, AJA an Indon young worker alone at Jalan AU 3/1 going to Jalan AU 1b/2d with some house construction tools. When I asked him why doesnt he booked smaller Grabcar econ, he said some drivers didnt want to take him with tools.

8.58am, VIS ping from JW Marriot Hotel KL Bukit Bintang. The fare was very high (rm155) and when I checked the destination is going to KLIA and stopped at Petronas Twin Towers KLCC. I texted him saying that I'll be there in a few mins. He replied, "sure, how much time?" When I told him about 15 minutes, instantly he CANCELLED. Lajiao lah. So I lost the big fare this morning. But life must go on kann.

AIRPORT TRIP NO. 1
9.03am, MMI ping me from GCB Court Apartment Jln Ampang Kiri, but when I arrived at the guard post, the Bangla told me to gostan cik Jnulekasnova and waited outside. But minutes later he told me to go inside when the MMI and his Arab friends were already at the lobby. I talked to the guard about the issue, and he said, "itu management sudah suruh lah bos!" I uploaded 5 big and heavy baggages to cik Jnulekasnova. 2 Arabs hopped in but later one of them just wanted to dropped off nearby only while I sent the lone arab guy to KLIA. Later I found out that the baggages contained bottles of honey.


10.42am, HPE at KLIA2, but after messages and calls no answer and even I drove to KLIA2 Door 2 I saw nobody approaching me, so I drove back to Landside and CANCELLED.

AIRPORT TRIP NO. 2
11.38am, MRJ a group of pinoys ladies and a gentleman. I reckon they are Chinese philippines. I sent them to Mercu Summer Suites Jln Cendana KLCC.

Break at Shell Jln Damai to refill the ron95 for rm100.

1.22pm, GRY 2 Hong Kong families with wives and a little daughter at Double Tree hotel going to KL Sentral.

1.49pm, NRI a Sarawak family at NU Sentral Back Entrance Main Entrance. She promised to give me extra tips for me to turn around and get to them. I sent them to Fahrenheit Suites Jln Bukit Bintang.

AIRPORT TRIP NO. 3
2.23pm, after ignoring only 1 ping, FIZ and her husband and a baby at Casa Residency Suites Jln Galloway Bukit Bintang going to KLIA2. Yay! As they hopped in and I about leaving the condom, she asked to follow the highway instead of the old roads as their previous drivers doing that. They are flying to Jakarta and just came here 3 days ago.

4.32pm, MNT ping from KLIA 1 but after messages and calls, she said she already with another driver. Kannina. I cancelled too fast.

AIRPORT TRIP NO. 4
4.57pm, PAL an Australian family from Melbourne at KLIA2 going to Fahrenheit 88 hotel. Yay! This the children first time to Malaysia. After dropped off, the boy who sat next to me said, "you are the best Uber driver I encounter so far!" Hehe, he makes my day.

Dear diary, as I experiencing today, without Uber I dont think I can get 4 airport trips back to back in one day. And starting next week I am going to miss Uber very much.

2 TRIPS OF HIGH FARE

Sunday, 1st April 2018.
Today is April Fool.

Started cik Jnulekasnova from JB about 9am and attended my ex-university mate's son wedding at Durian Tunggal Melaka and met other friends. But before I went to the wedding ceremony, I tried to run the Uber apps which I registered 2 weeks ago [+ link], but after so many trials, still the apps showed the red signs of "your vehicle cannot be operated in Melaka." So I made a report to the Uber helpline, and they replied instantly saying that unfortunately they cannot help me since they already merged with Grab company and told me to register with Grab instead.

4.26pm, arrived at Landside. The Queue number for Uber is 51-60, while for Grabcar plus is 141-150.

6.18pm, ADE a Chinese lady and her husband and 2 daughters at KLIA2 going to Kota Damansara. Okay lah. But when I was about to arrived at Door 2, she messaged, "why you taking so long?" Aiyah, charcheebye lah. Actually I wanted to cancel it, but I just calm down and helped the laki to upload the big baggages to cik Jnulekasnova. When they hopped in, she said, "wah lu manyak henpon ah?" I said "carik makan only mah".

I set destination for Uber and Grab to HOME.
Then I got Uber ping first with 1.5x surge and later I ignored Grab ping since it's going to Chow Kit only.

7.18pm, MRM a Christian Indian lady with a baby and a maid at Cascades Residency Kota Damansara. When arrived at the lobby, I helped her to upload the baby stroller while she's putting the baby inside the cab. The maid (local Penang girl) is sitting next to me. When I started the trip, I felt so happy to see that the destination is really near to my HOME. The lady liked to talk and talk about her fertilized baby using IVF after 7 years of waiting. She also felt regret to hear that Uber is no longer available next week. But she told me that she dislikes Grab compare to Uber since Grab drivers attitude not up to her standard, especially when no Grab drivers trying to help her to open the car boot to upload the stroller like I did just now. And suddenly she pat my shoulder few times!
