JOURNEY TO PICK UP MY SON'S CAR AT WESTPORT CONVENTIONAL MAIN GATE

Today is my birthday.

So today I plan to pickup my daughter in law's car at Westport Pelabuhan Kelang. The car (honda civic) had arrived few days ago from Kuching.

Since I dont have any personal transport, so I made a study on how to go to the port by using the cheapest and easiest way from KL.

The best option of public transport is by using the KTM (train) from Bank Negara station to Pelabuhan Kelang station. It costs only rm7 compare to rm88 if I take the grabcar. Lol. The only issue is the time taken. But it's okay since I'm not in a hurry.

Updated. So today (Thu) I arrived at KTM Pelabuhan Klang before noon, ie 11am. I checked the Grabcar fare about rm18 to the Westpoint Conventional Main Gate. Then I tried many times to negotiate with the Indrive drivers. Finally this pakcik took the bid of rm18 since I tried to offer rm14 for the lowest fare. He's driving part-time as he's working with the logistic company.

TAKING GRABCAR AND INDRIVER TO SUNGAI CHUA 2024

Wed, 4/12/24.

Ride 1. Book Grabcar from home to Itik Salai Masthar Foodcourt for rm5.30. The driver drove a white Hyundai Tucson. 

Having nasi lemak sotong sambal for breakfast. 

Ride 2. Then book In-drive offering the driver for rm14 since the distance is 14km to Sungai Chua. The normal Just grab fare is rm16.30. Air Asia fare is rm18.

An Indian driver with his silver Proton Bezza car. He's staying in Kajang and talking about the current flood situation.

Lepaking at kedai mamak Mazlina Maju.

Ride 3. At 10.50am booking back to home. Offering in-drive for rm12. A Chinese driver took it but it's very far far away for 21 minutes. I can wait since I'm not in a hurry.

He's driving Silver Proton Bezza. And he likes to talk and talk. He used to work as a salesman for factories. After covid-19 the business is slowing down. Although he's a Grabcar driver but he likes to drive In-drive eventhough the fare is cheaper. In-drive company only takes 10% of the fare compare to Grab (20%). "Banyak job ikan bilis, nasib je kalo dapat ikan kerapu ka ikan jerung kah..." "Jangan jadi lembu Grab" He also told me that he once borrowed money from Grab for rm6k. The interest is very high, ie 18% per annum and he got a few more month to pay back.
