6.57am, SAGUNTHALA ping me. Since I saw the longtrip 40+ min, I tried to call, but he didn't answer. I messaged, he replied wanted to go to Kota Tinggi. I told him cannot send using Uber app as the long journey is not worth it. When I asked for double fare since no rider on the return trip, later very very late he replied that he agreed. But when I arrived at Larkin Utama Condo post guard, the guard lady told me cannot enter, only park outside. I messaged him again and again. Later I found out that it's just a game. Pandelela lah. Okaylah, at least I got rm5 for cancelling as 'rider no show' reason.

7.37am, VINEETH ping from far far away Nusa Perdana Service Apartment with skyrocketing surge of 2.6x. When I called him, he said he was in hurry, so he cancelled. Later, he ping twice again and I ignored the guy. The surge rate became 3.0x. Pandelela lah.

7.48am, EYS, 6 pax of young Islamic girls near Masjid Abu Bakar dorm going to Kolej Pengajian Islam Johor (MARSAH) Larkin. The surge rate was 1.3x.

8.19am, LGN 3 pax of local Indian guys at Larkin Sentral KFC going to Jln Wong Ah Fook JB to find hotel bcoz they are going to fly to Chennai India tonight via Changi airport. The lorry driver who sat next to me told me that he was also an Uber driver before.

8.42am, KHR 2 pax of elderly local Chinese ladies at hotel Jalan Trus sending to Warisan Kelate (pic above) Setia Tropika. They said, "kami oghe Kelate tapi dok Penang," and coming very far far away to try this Kelantan restaurant.

Set destination to JBCS as I wanted to go to Woodlands Singapore. Got ping 13min 13.8km from the same Bangla (SKK) at Danga View Apt who I picked up yesterday, and I accepted but later I cancelled as I reckoned he would call me and ask me to drive faster faster. Lajiao lah.

When dropped off at Larkin Sentral, suddenly this minachi wanted to come in to my cab. But I told her cannot take, she should use the app. She wanted to go to Skudai Parade only, which I reckoned quite far far away. I told her to take a teksi mah, then she looked at me with disgust.

3.14pm, the same MNN who booked me few days ago, asking to pickup 5 men. What a relief! I thought I need to pickup 7 India workers with big big baggages. The Waze told me to use the Jln Tun Razak and Skudai going to Senai, but I reckon driving thru Jln Kempas and going into Plus highway much faster and shorter way. But, later when I was stuck new Pasir Gudang Highway on Jln Kempas, I decided to follow Waze using the Jln Skudai. I sent them to the same Perindu 1 flat at Senai.

4.08pm, got ping from BTT at Senai airport going to Renaissance hotel Permas Jaya. The Penang family wanted to go holiday in Singapore and asking me the standard fare for driver transporting them to the island. But I told them I am not available currently, but I would find other driver.

Almost 5pm, getting tired. My daughter also wanted me to go shopping for some groceries at Tesco. So I drove HOME sweet HOME.

Dear diary, for record, due to my laziness and tiresome today I only completed 6 trips in 6hr 49min. The income after deducting the petrol ron95 was bad, very bad indeed and wanted to cry also no use. OTL

I reckoned they regretted visited the new shopping mall instead. On the way to the Aeon mall, there was a lorry with one of its tyres blownup already. I honked at the lorry, but the driver seemed undettered and later honked back at me. Pandalela lah. Hopefully nobody would get hurt by the flying lorry tyre later.

Inside the cab, the man who sat at my back always coughing like dog due to illness I reckon, so I offered him and the amoi who sat next tome my spicy hacks sweets and they took it. The surge rate was 1.7x and he gave me extra rm3 tip. I said, "cum on."

Also, Uber surprisingly sent me a text message telling me that my Uber KL account was suspended for one day due to poor "rating". Fookyewlah Uber. But it's okay since I am not doing Uber in KL. Please move on.

9.38am, 22min 17.5km far far away ROK at Senai airport. Since it showed the 'Long Trip (45+ min)' remark, I called her, but the man answered. 5 pax and going to Simpang Renggam. Deal by the 'tepi longkang', I asked for rm100 since no rider back, he later negotiate for rm90, when I asked for rm95, he cancelled the deal. Whatthefish.

Then another ping from same location and same remark, which I reckon would be the same guy, so I ignored.

I sent them to Ferry terminal Puteri Harbour. The lady sat at the back liked to talk and talk. They are going 'balik kampung' at Pekanbaru via Tanjung Balai Karimun.

4.14pm, at Masjid Senai airport, FRD another boss booked to pickup another 2 India worker near Caltex Saleng. Actually she booked another Uber driver for other workers too. I sent 2 of them to far far away Jalan Beladau 4 Ulu Tiram while the other Uber pickup 4 workers to Jalan Kekabu 11 Desa Cemerlang which later we found out that the Bangla leader incharge who was at the Caltex made a wrong switched which I asked him already. Later I made a 'job tepi longkang' and got extra money loh.

Dear diary, today I completed only 5 trips since this morning for 10hr 19min, after almost hours of no accepted trip. I cancelled 2 trips after 5min arrival. Also I learned today, my beloved cikJnulekasnova although can fit 7 passengers, but I saw on the Uber apps it shall be for 6 persons only. So I shall be careful next time not to make life hard herself to cikJnulekasnova.

Yesterday I was sick and took a rest and slept only on my bed.

7.02am, starting cikJnulekasnova engine and Uber apps. I set destination to KLIA and plan to go straight home to JB after the airport trip. No ping for a long long time.

To fillup ron95 at Shell Jalan Ampang (Risda) for rm75.07.

8.32am, nearby Japanese man at Shangri La hotel. 4 pax, 2 luggages and 1 wheelchair. All the way to KLIA airport, not KLIA2 he said. The man and 2 ladies were sitting in the middle row. The old lady who was paralysed sitting next to me who always said, "honto honto." They talked and talked all the way. At the drop off, I said, "minasan chotto matte kudasai ne," and "koko ni ie desu ne." The man told me my Japanese is very good. "No, no, watashi no nihongo o warui desu," I said.

All the way to JB.

2.06pm, 5min 2.9km to pickup Mas DOR. 7 pax of young Indon men sending them to Aeon Indahputra Kulai.

I waited another ping but all the pings were very far far away, ie more than 20km away. Aiyah.

After more than 2 hours waiting and still not feeling well at Kulai town and Senai airport, I called it a day.

6.38am, topup ron95 at Shell Taman Dato Razali for rm90.

6.44am, got ping from ELL, 10min 6.6km at Jalan 52 Kg Cheras Baru. While ondway, she called me asking whether I can send her to Kg Majidee JB. Walahwehh. She was surprised that I didnt know the destination on Uber apps. Whatthefish. She's going alone with many big things which she asked the fare. I told her that JB is an outstation destination and I was asking extra fare which she texted me, "mahal." But I told her that minyak also mahal mah. Later, she cancelled and tried to book other Uber drivers which got to me few times since I was nearest to her and I ignored them.

7.59am, got ping 9min 3.5km from VEE at KL Sentral. I didn't call and just drove to the pickup point. VEE hopped in, 4 pax going to Jonker Walk Melaka. Walahweh. I told her I could send her to Melaka which she shouted at me from my back, "if cannot go why uncle accepted it?" I told her that driver cannot see the rider destination until start trip. Kannina. Dont scold scold one lah. This is Uber fault. They got out of the cab and cursed at me. Charcheebye lah.

9.41am, while at Masjid India Leboh Ampang, 11min 2.3km from TLL at The Ascott Hotel KL. An Arab family, TLL, his wife and 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl). At first I thought they were going to KLIA. When I started the trip, they are going to Meru VAlley Ipoh. What can I do? I rejected 2 long trips already and not this one. So without complaint, I sent them to Ipoh for 2.30 hours, knowing I wouldn't get any rider back to KL city center. Lesson learned: please call the rider for long trip.

Dear diary, today I completed only 5 trips in 10 hr 31 min. And I made I report to Uber regarding the toll fare from Jalan Duta to Ipoh (S) exit was not recorded on the final trip earnings. 5 min later, Uber cs replied that it will included next week's statement. Cross my finger lah.

He chose UberXL compare to normal UberX due to his spinal cord problem.

DRIVING CIK JNULEKASNOVA FOR UBERXL FOR THE FIRST TIME

Dear diary, after driving Proton Preve for Uber for two weeks in KL, I reckon that it's not worth it, especially on the high fuel consumption. To use my son's Proton Saga FLX is feasible, but he's working in Pengerang now and the harsh working environment over there will damage my beloved other car, cikputih if I wanted to exchange between the two cars. So, after discussing with wife, she let me use the family car, Toyota Innova for UberXL. So this is my first experience on using cik Jnulekasnova for the first time in JB for Uber.

Starting the car engine at 6.43am and the odometer reads at 57,900km.

Trip no. 1.
6.55am, 8min 4.4km to pickup a lone minachi VML at Flat Tasek but she put the wrong location inside the Maya Heights terrace houses. Later I sent her to Klinik Pasir Gudang which she also just typing the pin location at the general 'Pasir Gudang' which is nearer. At the drop off, the Uber apps hang and while waiting for the apps calculating the fare, madam VML gave the fare of RM13 as she told me that it's the upfront fare on her apps. I took it and when I drove out and the Uber apps finally showed me the final fare of rm17.88, I decided to return back to collect extra rm4 from her. She was furious but eventually gave in to pay me the extra fare with rm100 note. Later, I wrote a report to Uber about the fare discrepancies which I got the answer instantly.

Trip no. 2.
7.45am, 13min 8.2km NRL and her friend waiting at far far away BSN Masai and the apps showed me the long trip 35min+. When pickep up, I saw they already waiting with many small small bags as they wanted to go to Flex LTD Senai, not the airport as I was expecting earlier. Aiyah. It was a long drive, about one hour.

9.52am, under tree canopies at Masjid Senai Airport, I decided to call Uber customer service (CS) to set up my apps only to pick up UberXL trips. Ref: 1-800-81-8459. The pinoy lady talked to me and professionally processed my application. She later told me that my application will be ready in 24 to 48 hours, and 70 hours the most. I requested the same for my Uber KL account. But later I reckon, all my ping are UberXL trips. Yeay!

10.27am, 9min 9.4km to pickup AAA, 6 pax of young local chinese 2 boys and 4 girls with their vacation luggages at McD Saleng. When I arrived I thought he ordered uberX, I scolded him to request UberX with more than 4 pax. But later when I checked on the apps, it was indeed UberXL. Aiyah, so embarrasing, but I apologised to him (AAA)! I asked them to go in the mpv and sent them to Larkin Sentral. The surging rate was 1.6x. The boy who sat next to me looks very langsi to me, but he's the one who paid me the fare. Luckily the final calculated fare is right bcoz no traffic jam.

Trip no. 4.
11.28am, a lone MKS at the same Larkin Sentral waiting at the teksi stand which I told him not to do it again next time because the abam teksi kept honking me just now. MKS said "xper xper."  But I told him again that it's not nice and pity to the abam teksi there. This young man likes to talk too. He said, he commutes from Kluang to Larkin Sentral everyday by bus. That's mean, he's wasting 4 hourse of sitting inside the bus. Walawehh. It's more saving, he said, "dulu saya sewa bilik rm450 sebulan - byk mahal!" I sent him to Olympia College JB.

12.24pm, SSN 10min 5.7km ping me to pickup her sick husband at Pusat Dialisis Johor Jaya. I sent him to Block N Permas 7.

Trip no. 6.
1.10pm, SHK a lone Nepal guy at kedai Taman Rinting, alone and I sent him to Masai bus station. I told this guy, next time please use UberX, after he's grumbling about the high fare.

Noon break, go HOME and noon nap.

Trip no. 7.
4.28pm, 14min 12.8km far far away at Aeon Tebrau to pickup 6 young amois. I sent them to nearby Austin Heights Adventure and Water parks. The surging rate was 1.7x. Good lah.

Trip no. 8.
5.02pm, 9min 3.6km to pickup May and her family of 5 adults and 1 baby at the same Aeon Tebrau City. I sent them to far far away Jalan Silat Gayung Bandar Selesa Jaya. The journey was about one hour including the infamous traffic jam at Highway Pasir Gudang. Madam May paid me the upfront fare, but I told her that the upfront fare she gave me not include conditions of traffic jam and other distance which may occur during the trip. She nodded. Later at the drop off, she paid me extra rm2 as per Uber apps.

6.09pm, break at Petronas Bandar Selesa Jaya. Pee and pray.
6.33pm, still no ping I moved on to Aeon Bukit Indah.
6.55pm, Petronas Bukit Indah. Pee and pray.

No ping, I drove on to JB CS using Jalan Pantai.

7.19pm, 12min 12.3km 1.3x to pickup TYY and his 5 workers at Shell Paradigm Mall (a new shopping mall, old: abandoned Kemayan City mall). I sent them to McD Jalan Tun Fatimah, TUTA.

The last trip, no. 10.
8.05pm, 5min 1.6km to pickup KLV, 6 pax (5 male 1 female) Singaporean and local chinese at nearby restaurant Jalan Pendekar 2. I sent them to JB City Square. Ironically, the Uber apps and the Waze showing me the trip is going to be a one hour journey which I doubted it.

Wife already calling calling to pickup my son at his tuition center. I set the destination to HOME sweet HOME. As expected, no ping all the way HOME. Buy satay before pickup my son.

Dear diary, today I completed only 10 trips in 10hr 25min, and all of them are long trips with surging rate. I like it compare to normal UberX. But the most thing I like about driving UberXL, I dont need to bother entertaining cheapskate trips with promo codes with stingy riders paying only rm1.20 or rm2.58 or free rides. #bcukurje

Only one Uber story today.

11.17am, 11min 3.9km to pickup cik Miss at 3Elements Apartment. She called from Block B which I couldn't find the sign. I need to drive "tawaf" two times to find the middle lorong. She was going to work as chef at Cube Bistro Cyberjaya, near D'Pulze. She liked to talk and talk all the way. As a divorcee, she got a child taken care by her mother at her kampong in Kelantan. When asked about her car, she told me a sad and pity story about her housemate, cik "B". Few weeks ago, cik "B" who has her own Axia car wanted to go to JB by using cik Miss's Honda city. She let her driving it and later when her housemate returned the car, she reckoned that the car was involved with an accident that cik "B" never told her. Aiyah. Now, the car is at the workshop, but the sad story is that cik "B" still reluctant to pay for the bad dented on the car. Cik "B" told her that she would find the money to repay for the damage she had done. Cik Miss told me that cik "B" had not returned home since last week as she made up a story of her driving Grab. This is a lesson learned to her that she would not let other people driving her car anymore. The pickup location was 15min and 4.1km far far away but I reckoned that the trip was going to be KLIA. Yeay! But with the bad traffic jam and the fare of ciput rm35 (not rm75), I consider the trip is a non-worthy one. But, is Uber care?

Dear diary, today I completed 17 trips in 8hr 34min. This week's quest is to complete 24 trips to get rm45. Aiyah, driving Uber is so cheapskate now.

One Uber story today.

11.57am, 4min 1.1km to pickup CAL at La Costa Condo. While on the way, she kept sending me messages asking to go inside the condo and wait at the lobby A. I just followed. When she came to the cab and tried to open the back right hand side door, it's actually stucked and locked. So I asked her to use the other door. When she hopped in, she greeted me nicely. The young 'mek salleh' girl smiled. When asked, she said she is a South African. "Ah, I know Table Mountain, I saw it on the picture only," I laughed. We talked and talked all the way to Monash University entrance. She told me that she has been living here for eight years. At first I was shocked, later she told me that her dad is working with the Sabah government. Boleh bah kalau kau!

This early morning, I set the destination to KLIA airport.
Knowing the first 3 pings are the short trips, so I ignored them.
The fourth ping is the long way, ie more than 40min according to Uber apps.

6.30am, EZY at Jalan 2/2 Ampang Jaya ping me to pickup his wife (I guess) to KLIA. Yeay!

After dropped off, at 7.30am, I straight drove to the waiting area, Landside. This is my second airport trip. The queue number is 339. The restaurant still not open, and the toilets are dirty. So I decided to go to Charter Field area, where the toilet as not as world standard but it’s okay. After taking breakfast, I didn’t wait longer, at 8.35am, I drove to Domain 5 Cyberjaya.

8.57am, NSY an Indian lady at Shaftsbury Residence Cyber 6 ping me to send to the KLIA airport again. Yeay!
After dropped off also, I didn’t wait as the queue number was 367!

Dear diary, today I am still one lazy Uber driver. After completing 24 trips this weekend since Friday, and getting extra rm70, I switched off the apps and go HOME.

Today, I just managed completing 10 trips in 6 hr 53min. Lazy Saturday.

Last night, I bought a new 3 lens view dashcam for my cab. I had to go all the way to Kampung Padang Jawa near Klang town to get it from the seller. But when I used it this morning, after the first trip from Ampang to UTM Shah Alam, the monitor got blank. I was a bit upset, so I called the seller. He promised to replace it with a new one. So he did. We met at the Shell petrol station Federal Highway, near Aeon Shah Alam.

Today I just wanted to story mory one Uber trip.

6.19pm, ARL 2 amois ping from Pavilion. The traffic jam was bad. When arrived and started the trip, I was surprised to see the destination only a few steps away - Bukit Bintang monorail. "Tadi ujanlah uncle," she said. I dont mind, but I told them, if they walked just now, they already arrived at the station. But they still wanted me to send them there. After driving a few meters I asked them the point they want to stop. It seemed I need to drive one block of Sungai Wang Plaza to the monorail stairs. Even after I pointed them the stairs which was a few steps away, she rather me driving them one big round throught the jam. "Uncle pusing satu round lah!" dictated the amoi. Kannina lah. But stupidly, I followed. While infront of Plaza Low Yat, the traffic was very bad, it was stuck there for like 20minutes. Charcheebye lah. Suddenly she gave me the fare money and wanted to hop out. When I told them the Bukit Bintang monorail is still quite far to walk. Instead, I advised them to go to the Imbi station. Finally both of them got out of the cab and walked away.

8.56am, 8min 2.5km to pickup MDD at Jalan TPP 1/10 factory office. 4 pax of Bangla/Nepal going to Taylor's Univ. This is my second trip with them. The traffic on the LDP was smooth compare to our previous trip. At the drop off, the fare was rm6.73 (minus rm6 promo). I asked MDD to pay rm6 only. But he insisted to pay 70 sen. I politely declined and told him not to worry about the sen, I just need 5 star. "Uncle, 5 star no problem, you must take this 70 sen, the company paid for this trip," he said. "Furthermore, your name same as my grandfather," he smiled and left. The time was 9.17am.

Break at McD Sri Petaling. Cancelled my intention to use surau Sri Petaling due to too many tahfiz students there.

9.51am, HIM an India expat at Endah Villa Condo. When arrived at the gate, HIM almost reaching the guard post, but I still need to go inside the condo bcoz a car behind me. I dont like him and I give him 1 star. He may do the same thing to me. Pandalela lah. I send him to Wisma Scope International where many many India expat there.

10.08am, a China man at Jalan Selesaria 1, Happy Garden. Speak not good English. I sent him at Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Break at Plaza Low Yat to survey for 3 lens view car dashcam. Yesterday I tried to order the dashcam thru my whatsapp group, but the guy sounds phony to me. Ale utoh lah.

1.31pm, SHH finally got my bait going to the airport! Yay! A Malay young couple is going for holiday in Langkawi. At first they talk and talk with me but later they dozed off. This is my first airport trip since I started doing Uber this week.

After drop off, I stop at Petronas KLIA to pee and pray. Later, I turned back to the Waiting Area for drivers near KLIA. Then I met few drivers who were waiting since 9am and 11am this morning. 6 hours of waiting - wahlahweh!

Since I got errand to do at 5pm, I decided to leave the Waiting Area to Putrajaya. Noon nap for 5min near Suruhanjaya Tenaga building.

At the drop off, ALE couldn't open the right side of the door. We tried everything with the alarm and door buttons, but the door jsut stuck. OTL. So he jumped off with the other door. He paid by cc.

5.37pm, the last trip of the day to complete the Quest, RYN with his black purdah wife, at Lorong Thambi 2 hotel. I send them to Chinatown aka Petaling Street. He also asked if I could send them to Genting Highlands tomorrow. I gave him my last price, he will whatsapp me tonight if he agreed.

I set the destination to HOME.

5.56pm, KO 2 pax of Myanmar at Kotaraya but he put the pin inside. Aiyah. I send them to Hotel Pudu Plaza.

Tired already, I turned the apps and go straight HOME sweet HOME.

Today, I managed to complete the Quest with 19 trips in 9hr 47min online. With extra rm70, I am one happy Uber driver today.
Note. Today also, I cancelled 5 trips after waited for 5minutes and got extra rm3.75 (after Uber fee deduction).
