12.40pm. Perodua service center Taman Cendana.
While waiting my wife's car to be serviced for an hour, I called an Uber Car using the apps to the cowboy town of Masai. When the book accepted, Uber apps showing me that the driver will arrive in 15 minutes because he was located far far away at Tanjung Puteri. I dont mind. But when the driver, bro Malim (not real name) called me and I told him to wait at Petron station just across the street to use the ATM machine. But due to the long queu, I cancelled it. Get out of the shop, the Uber driver just arrived. In the car, this bro Malim was quite talkative and we chatted all the way to the Post Office. "Now I keje in Johor Port la Uncle, ni keje part-time," he said. "Uber riders are better than Grab here. Waiting Uber riders is very short time, but if can get Grab riders are better tambang and sometimes can go to the airport," Malim seriously telling the story.
1.31pm.
After bought some barang2 in Sports stores and a chess game board for my youngest son, I called an Uber driver again back to the Perodua workshop. In the beginning the apps showed me that the lady driver will arrive in 5 Minutes. When the driver called me, I suggested her to wait infront of the Post Office, but Jasmen (not real name) told me she follows gps only. Okay lah minah. But later I found out that the apps showing me another 9 Minutes. Aiyah. Perhaps the lady driver apparently lost her way. I dont mind and can wait for her. When almost there, Jasmen phoned me, "I am infront of the Post Office here, wak where?" Aiyah, did I not offer her to wait there? In the car, we NOT much talking at first. After 6 Minutes, I tried to break the ice and chat with friendly Jasmen. Asking about her KL plat registration Proton Saga FLX, Jasmen now driving in JB because she works in Singapore. "I drive part time only la Uncle, carik makan" she said. I asked her again, normally working in Singapore must have a lucrative income, why she needs to drive. "Now everything need to pay," she said gloomily.
I gave all both drivers 5 Stars despite all the troublesome. I hope all my haters like it! I wished them good luck and hati hati dijalanraya.
