GRABCAR TO THE OFFICE

 

 Monday, 1/8/22.

Normally I walk to the office with friends.
But today, my friend asked me to take Grabcar.

One of the road was closed and need to cross over on the other  way.

GRABBIKE TO ISTORA MANDIRI

 

 Sunday, 31/7/22.

I booked a Grabbike to mrt station Istora Mandiri which is cheaper than Grabcar ofcourse.

Unlike Grabbike in Batam, here (Jakarta) the rider can come to pick you up at your current location. That's very good.

But the guy is from eastern part of the city, so he's not very familiar with the route. Also, he doesn't  have the handphone holder which is quite dangerous.

 

SUDDENLY HE CANCELLED ME

 

Saturday, 30/7/22.
Jakarta, Indonesia.

This morning I book a Grabcar from my rented house to the shopping center, Blok M Plaza.
This guy, pak Joko Sunardi, driving a red Toyota Calya B 2634 TOB, accepted my order.
I waited for 5 minutes, then he arrived at the corner.
I saw him coming to fetch me.
Then suddenly he sped away for no reason.
Kontol lah pak Joko!

Then I order another Grabcar to and from the mall with no problem whatsover.

NO FREE PARKING AT BLOK M SQUARE

 

 Monday, 25/7/22.

After office hour, I walked  to the nearest shopping mall to purchase a blanket.

From the mall, I ordered Grabcar using the apps.
I waited at the front door, and  I sent a photo where I was.
But still the driver just followed the gps shown on the apps.
Aiyah.

So he needed to u-turn.
Ironically there is no passing through for the car.
I needed to pay extra 5000 rupiah.

FROM BATAM HOTEL TO THE AIRPORT

 

 Sunday, 24/7/2022.

I booked the same Grabcar driver as yesterday.
I took me yesterday at Nagoya Hill mall.
He  came to the hotel at 11.30am.

He stopped me at Welcome To Batam hillmark.
Then he sent me direct to the Hang Nadim airport.

Total fare is 90,000 as per our agreement, but i gave him 100,000 instead.

At Jakarta airport.
It's another challenge to take a grabcar.
There are many competitors and they all got booths and guides at the arrivals.

But I managed to book grabcar with higher fare (from 170k to 220k).
From airport to the rent house.

HOLIDAY IN BATAM BY HOTEL TAXI

 

 Saturday, 23/7/2022.

I got this hotel driver.
The  deal was 100k per  hour.

He picked  me up at 5.15am after breakfast at the hotel.
We went to Jambatan Barelang bridge and to the southern most island - Titik Nol (0).

On the way to the hotel, he got a bule with family call.
He agreed on the 500k from 12.30pm to 8.30pm! Damn!
Which is much cheaper than my rate!
I should book for Grabcar driver instead.

FROM BANGI TO SUBANG TO BATAM

From Bangi to Subang airport

 

 Saturday, 16/7/22.

Yesterday I booked a Grab from the FB group.
There are many drivers available.
But I like this guy who said can send me to the Subang airport with cheaper fare.

Checking on the Grab apps, the fare is rm64.
But AZH agreed to send me with rm50 only.

At 6.30am he arrived at my apartment.
We talked while cruising to the Subang airport.
Unfortunately he cannot produce any receipt.

Later, when arrived I gave him extra rm50 tip.
He looked surprised and happy.

Arriving at the Hang Nadim airport.
I reckoned that I didn't have rupiah money with me.
There are no money changers available at the airport.

But later I grabbed a teksi with an old driver.
Going to Botania town (60 thousand rupiah) to change money.
And later sending me to the hotel at the Batam City Center.
The fare is agreed at 180 thousand rupiah (RM53).
I asked him for the receipt which is available.

KLCC TO JALAN IMBI

 

 Tuesday, 5/7/2022.

Today I plan to go to Jalan Imbi. I set my pickup point at Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
When checking on the Grab apps in the morning, the fare (rm15) is very high. 
However, at lunch when I book the  apps, the fare is rm5.30 one way.

An Indian middle age man with his grey Proton Exora pick me up. He's quiet talkative. Later I gave him rm6.

On the way back to the training center, a Chinese uncle with pony tail fetch me up. He's driving a blue Perodua Bezza. The fare is rm6. No conversation at all until we reach the destination. I gave him rm7. 

Okay lah.

LADY DRIVER NEEDED TO AIRPORT

 Minggu lepas, aku dah tanya dlm FB group driver JB.
Nak hantar wife dari rumah Masai ke Senai airport.
Nak cari lady driver amek kol 3am.
Punyalah terkejut aku bila ramai kecam.
Aku tanya je kot.

Alhamdulillah, ada kawan driver lama yg sahut cabaran.
Fare ikut grab apps ialah rm60.
Aku dah suruh wife bagi tips.

RUSH FOR GRAB

A new Toyota Rush indeed @2022

I came back to KL early this week.

Today, I took a Grabcar from a workshop to a dentist.
RM7.30 only by getting a Toyota Rush.
I use Grabpay and no tip.

Uber driver dilemma in Qatar ;p

 

Uber only in Doha they use the drivers like slaves look in other place the drivers they are so happen with Uber the commission is low and the charge is high and the Uber riders they’re so happy what they pays 

But here they play with the drivers 😡 

Uber when the first time came to Doha minimum charge was 35Qr in the top off that they use to charge the rider by the minutes if there is any traffic rider he gets charge they use too romantic for the drivers and then after they attract lost drivers they becoming selfless 

The commission that they took now it’s 25% before was 12% 

Please drivers don’t be slave on your own car
