LONG TRIP 40+MIN TO MELAKA AND RETURN

Saturday, 30 December 2017.
Today I plan to go back to JB after getting any trip to KLIA.

8.00am starts the Uber XL abd set destination to KLIA but later I decided to set it off.

9.04am, while parking at Wisma MCA bus stop, TKY-san ping me from Rennaisance West wing. After texted him due to ‘long trip 40+min’ remark, he and his friends were going to Melaka. When arrived at the lobby, she asked me the fare even though the uber apps is already shown. The uberflash gave the trip fare rm284 more expensive than the uberxL which was only rm148. Aiyah! I was on dilemma.

While on the trip, we were not much talking due to the language barrier even though the Japanese amoi who sat next to me that she can speak English very good. But later I asked them whether they need a ride back to KL or not. After nego on the price, they agreed for me to send them back. Note: later I regret on the price which I should ask for double price since I driving mpv! But it's okay, this is my initial experience on outstation job.

11.15am, arrived in Stadhuys building. Before arriving, I got time to call Toyota service center in Melaka to send cik Jnulekasnova for major service. But I need to make an appointment. Aiyah. Later also, I call Toyota service in Muar, the clerk said I can just walk in but due to the long distance (about 1 hour drive) I cancelled my intention. So later I book an appointment to service it this Monday at Toyota Plentong.

12.33pm, parking at Masjid Selat. Pee and pray and noon nap inside the cab.

2.33pm, going to Tesco Melaka for lunch. Nasi goreng kampung only lah. The japanese lady called me and asked me to pick them up at 4pm. I said "dekimasu."

4.00pm, pick the Japanese tourists at the Stadhuys building and drive straight to KL. Later she asked me to drop them off at Jalan Alor.

6.18pm, arrived at Jalan Bukit Bintang. Set the SD to KLIA but no ping for one hour. As I was getting restless, I set the SD back to normal online.

7.33pm, while waiting the Uber ping at Petronas near IJN, EZZ a pinoy pax of 7 people at Mercu Summer KLCC. I texted him since I saw the 'long tirp 40+min' remark and he said they are going to Restaurant Tasek Indah Shah Alam. Aiyah. But I said okay.

8.31pm, after dropping them off at Shah Alam after getting rm8 tip, I set the SD back to KLIA but driving on Federal Highway towards KLCC. No ping all the way, so I decided to drive straight to JB.

Dear diary, today, I managed to complete only 2 trips.

7.05am, after few times trying to set destination to KLIA, I finally had it.

7.46am, fillup ton95 at Shell Jln Damai and having breakfast at Damai corner.

TRIP NO 1.
7.52am, OSO at Three28 Jln Tun Razak going to KLIA. Yay! An Uzbekistan family, 3 adults and a little girl, they talking to each other only. At the dropoff, I hastily open the back door and suddenly the hand carry bag full of cateyez fruit (buah mata kucing) suddenly falling down. Kannina. The old man was very upset with me. I said sorry many times and finally said ‘spasibo’ and the young man looked impressed that I know Russia language. I smiled only but the old man still not friendly. Fookyewla matsalleh.

'Membangau' at Surau Fatimah Charterfield for 6 hours! Kaninna.

TRIP NO 2.
2.45pm, since 9.04am, 6 hours of waiting the ping, finally NAZ at KLIA. 3 pax of young Americans from New York sending to Parkview KLCC. We talked and talked. They said they (a young man and a little girl) were born in Kuching Malaysia, about 20 years ago, now lived in New York. Their mom is Sarawak bumiputera, and the father is Pakistani. The other girl (NAZ) is their cousin. They will be going to Johor Bahru next week.
Then, when approaching Jln Tun Razak, I showed them the new Menara Najib and told them about the joke. They really laughing together. Lol.

TRIP NO 3.
2.56pm, DNL 5 pax of Chinese men and women at Jln TAR going to Jln Alor Bukit Bintang. They were looking for a massage parlor.

Later, JAI ping me at Jln Bunus but when I arrived at the wrong pin location, he cancelled. Pandelela lah.

TRIP NO 4.
4.50pm, NDM 6 pax of Sri Lanka muslim family which I thought initially were from middle east. The mom and daughter were wearing hijab. I send them to Snowalk at iCity Shah Alam.

Break at masjid UM. Pee and pray.
Set the SD to KLIA.

TRIP NO 5.
7.43pm, CLV at Sheraton Hotel PJ ping me just to send 2 chairs to the furniture store at Monsoon Decor Sungai Besi, next to Shell. The boost rate was 1.5x. Note. This is my first time delivering non-homo sapien while driving uber XL. Last time, I remember I sent laundry clothings instead on my Uber X.

Waiting from Petronas Sg Besi to Jalan Bukit Bintang with no ping to the airport.

9.38pm - I called it a day.

8.29pm, ZLK 2 Malay elderly couples at KLIA2 going to Subang Jaya. They just came back from Acheh. Yay!

9.40pm, AZH 6 pax of Malay family with many kids at Starbucks Midvalley. I send them to PPR Pantai Indah lah sangat.

TRIP NO 5.
10.11pm, SRY an India family at Northcourt midvalley again, but the gps was wrongly located at Northpoint hotel. Aiyah! After shouting to each other I thought he wanted to cancel, but after I drive slowly to the Northcourt, they were still waiting there. I sent them to nearby Merc Resident. This India family so much talking and demanding too.

Finally i drove home sweet home.

Dear diary, today I complete 5 trips only in 16.43 hours with 7 plus 3 hours waiting at the airport. It was a long tiring day.

Yesterday was not driving Uber. Feeling not well.

7.27am starts cik Jnulekasnova and Uber XL apps. I set destination to KLIA.

8.04am, Shell Jln Damai to fillup ron95. Then had breakfast at Damai corner.

8.49am, NOF an Arab lady with a little girl and a baby at KL Trillion going to Avenue K to send her baby and return to KL trillion Block A. The boost rate was 1.3x.

9.49am, break at Lot 10. Then I drove to Lorong Ceylon.

10.25am the SD reached 2 hours with no ping to KLIA.

TRIP NO 2.
10.27am, RMI a Lebanese family who migrated to Sydney at nearby PMI sending to Batu Caves. We talked and talked and wanted me as tour guide tomorrow for the whole day. I said no worries mate. He will call me tonight to confirm.

When arrived I waited for 5min and almost cancelled the trip bcoz I didnt see them and couldn't call or text them. But finally she found my cab and I sent them to Sunway Resort Hotel. Yay!

TRIP NO 5.
6.44pm, while approaching the Sunway Pyramid, SZL ping me but I confused bcoz I saw Sunway Pyramid mall, not Sunway Pyramid hotel as where SZL and his family were waiting. I blindly drove to the mall lobby but after calling him and he said he's going to Hotel Royal KL, and he's willing to wait for me to uturn. This is my final trip of the day.

Dear diary, today I completed only 5 trips in 12.08hours. Today I am still feeling sick and sore throat and that period blood stain tragedy on my cab's seat still haunting me. I could be a millionaire today! What an unlucky day today. Demm.

9.00am, breakfast at Restoran Harjis Cheras.

9.59am, MHZ a Pakistan family at Vida Hotel Changkat Ceylon sending to Gocar Nook Bangsar office Jln Riong. They wanted to drive the rented car to Penang.

1.48pm, KRA 6 pax of Kelantan malay family at Berjaya Times Square. Due to traffic jam and wrong pin location I arrived late. They waited at the teksi queue but later i asked them to go inside the lobby. I sent them to Stesen Bas Pekeliling. After dropoff, when checking the seat, I saw the blood stains on the back row seat. I called them, KRA said sorry, I said okay but later I regret it.

2.15pm, I used Waze to find the nearest carwash in Kg Baru. After cleaned up the cast was rm15 only, and Uber reimbursed me after I reported the incident to them. Note, later I found out there is some blood stain still not clear yet. I called the girl to pay rm20, but she seemd relucrant to pay. “Nape x mintak tadi?,” she wrote. I told her that I didnt know the cleaning cost. Note. until today, she is not responding to my whatsapp. Bugima lah.

3.33pm I managed to set destination to kLIA.

4.04pm, SHW Singaporean with wife and kids at Corus Hotel going to St Regis hotel KL sentral.

4.44pm, AMR at Hotel victory Jln Imbi. But due to bad traffic jam and detour and closed road, I cancellwd the booking.

Return to back longkang near myHabitat.

5.44pm, RYN which I thought from other side of Kampung Keramat. Actually, his house at Damai 33 just behind from where I parked my cab. And it’s a long trip 40+min! Yay! RYN a matsalleh with his young Vietnamese wife and teenage son. He also liked to talk about the rains, his furniture business and his son’s international school at Ampang jaya. I sent them to kLIA for them to fly to Hokkaido tonight.

10.10pm, after 3 hours ‘membangau’ the Queue no still stagnant at 11-20. Kannina.

10.32pm, finally after 3.5 hours I got ping from SLY 4 pax of local Malay family at KLIA1 Door 4. When I called, he said they are going home at Nilai Impian. I said okay since it's already late at night and I just wanted to go HOME sweet HOME. In the cab, we talked and talked. He said, they're back from Bandung's shopping.

Dear diary, today I completed 11 trips in 15hr 12min.

Started at 7.37am. Set destination to KLIA.

Trip no. 1.
8.02am, while pumping up ron95 at Shell Jln Damai, JMS ping from Jln Uthant. JMS, his wife and 2 grown up boys going to kLIA. From the beginning, I asked him which KLIA airport they are heading. Apparently, JMS told me that they just moved in to the country 3 months ago and this is their first time flying out. I reckon he said he is going to Cambodia and flying with Airasia. So I told them that their terminal was KLIA2, not Klia1 as he set it earlier. They are coming from texas, the biggest state which would travel 15 hours from border of Arizona to Louisiana. I never told them that I was studying in Arizona 30 years ago. I also reckon that they are not talkative, so I just keep quite and turned on Hitz radio. The song lyric of "I m in love with your body" from Ed Sheeran - Shape of You.

Today I decided to stay in the Landside and Charterfield until the next airport job came out on my apps. Remember also, today is friday prayer.

2.49pm, HSN 6 pax of Bangla at Masjid Putra sending to construction site at Conezion IOI City resort.

4.56pm, I set destination to KLIA and got ping from THMBI. But my shortlived joy was cancelled when he called saying he got another driver already. Pandelela la.

7.33pm, RPL at Twins@Damansara Heights going to KLIA! An Indian local gentleman with his girlfriend is flying to Adelaide. The lady seemed unfriendly to him. Hrmmm. The trip to the airport got a 1.7x surge rate so I dont complain very much.

Waiting at Landside from 9.09pm with Queue number 150+. This time I met fellow driver ADON who liked to talk and talk about our experiences. He is one of the Uber banned drivers, and now he is driving Exora for Grab 6-seater only. When reaching Q no. 1 - 10, it saturated from 11.15pm to 12.19am until 2.15am! Wahlaweh, I need to go home without pax. What a tiring day.

Dear diary, today I completed 7 trips in 17hr 17min with 2 airport one way trips. Waiting aka "membangau" at Landside and Charterfield with network loss issue taught me many lessons to prepare for better tomorrow. Amin ya robbal alamin.

4.32pm, LUC at Lorong Meranti Pudu. 4 adults with a baby under the heavy rains. I sent them to midvalley.

5.16pm, SRA, mat salleh husband wife (Portugal) with 2 kids at The Gardens going to Nexus Bangsar but later I dropped them off at Capri.

5.54pm, HUS 5 Bangla at Bukit Pantai Apartments. He messaged me, "is it 6 set mayi have to know plz". I replied, "yes". Later in the cab, I lectured him that many Bangladesh working here can speak Malay very well, but you students also cannot write simple English. Aiyah.

6.20pm, RBY 3 Indon men at Lorong Taman Pantai 1. Actually he put the wrong location. After shouting to each other with some mother tongue language, finally I got them inside my cab. The ping showed me the 2.0 surging rate and with only 3 guys I think he chosed the wrong UberX. I am not complaining. However, the traffic was very bad with heavy rains. At the drop off at Jln Perdana 9/10 Pandan Perdana, he shouted at me after looking at the fare price. "Nopo larang banget!," he looked at me. But his friends willing to pay.

Today I completed 7 trips only in 10hr 28min.

DRIVING UP TO GENTING AND 4 HOURS WAITING TO SLIDE DOWN

Starting up cik Jnulekasnova engine and UberXL apps at 7.33am after dropping off my daughter and her friends at KL Convention Center for the Comic Fiesta 2017 and 65,484km on odometer reading.
My rating now is 907 riders rated me 5 stars, 4.60% (personal rating), 51% AR, and 4% CR.

8.20am, waitingat Jln Walter Granier, Bukit Bintang.
8.21am, KHI, 6 pax of Malay boys at Pacific Regency Hotel going to KL Convention Center.
8.59am, ADI 6 pax of India family at Taragon Puteri Bintang hotel. But they walked out to the street bcoz the lobby was closed. I sent them to Stesen Komuter Bank Negara.

9.17am, SHD 6 pax of Kuching family at Jln TAR going to Restoran Dapur Sarawak, Jln Sarikei Pekeliling.
9.52am, IRN 4 pax of sweating "bapoks" at Tasik Titiwangsa sending to nearby Sunway Putra Mall.

10.18am, EJO at Mont Kiara, 6 pax of India family going to Genting Skyway Cable Car. At first without hesitation I sent them at the old Skyway Kereta Kabel which is closed now. At the toilet to relief myself, abam polis told me to go to Awana Skyway Cable Car station. So I picked them up again and sent them to Awana station. Note: Before starting the trip, I check on the Uber rider apps showing that the fare was rm225, but after dropped off, the fare was just a normal fare of rm160. I sent a report to Uber and still waiting their reply.

11.02am while sending the pax to Genting, I stopped at Shell MRR2 Gombak (Genting) to fillup ron95.

So I going up to Genting resort. Got time to use its surau near Balai Polis to pee and pray.

After waiting for almost 4 hours, I decide to drive down the hill and suddenly...

3.16pm, JRM ping me from Genting Highland Premium Outlets near Awana Skyway. 6 pax of China gals and guys including one local China man. 15min 7.2km to pick them up. I drive up again to Genting Grand lobby. Actually I missed the First Hotel entrance. Okay lah.

After dropping off JRM and his China friends, I parked and stopped for 10min at the garbage entrance nearby before decided to go down when suddenly...

3.52pm, HFS 5 pax of black Kenya Muslim girls at the same Genting Grand lobby. So I need to drive one big round again. Aiyah. I sent them down to Genting Strawberry Leisure Farms.

So I decided to set destination to KLCC to pickup my daughter and her friends. No ping.

Dear diary, today I completed only 7 trips in 9 hours 12min. Waiting 4 hours on top of Genting hills was compensating by getting 2 nearby trips.

Tonight I drove back to JB. See you later later lah.







Updated. Note dear diary, I reckon that I was blocked out again by admins of Uber Partner Malaysia. Fookyewlah admins. So dear diary, I think I am stuck with you on expressing my bad and good views while driving Uber. Nobody cares about me. OTL

9.06am, LOH 2 chinese ladies at Dorsett KL sending to Louis Vutton Suria KLCC.

9.51am, RND a Singapore family, 4 adult with 3 young kids, at Starhill Gallery. I sent them to Kidzania Damansara.

10.37am, DYL 7 pax of local chinese family at 7 eleven Empire Damansara going to 1 Utama mall.

11.01am, RYZ 6 pax of Singaporeans. He called me to pickup at Royale Chulan Ikea, not the Ikea bcoz the uber apps cannot find the pin location. I sent them to Petaling Street. At the drop off, he wanted me to send them back to Royale Chulan hotel, but I refused the offer since I am going to be mobile.

11.35am, RZL and his big boy at Silka Maytower Masjid India infront of Capsquare. I sent them to Boulevard hotel at Midvalley. They are Miri and RZL likes to talk and talk about his family and Brunei transportation strict issue on our Malaysian tinted cars.

12.18pm, AMR at Midvalley North court sending 6 young Malay girls students to Zainab College UIA PJ.

12.53pm, ALF 7 young Malay boys students at the same UIA PJ (Kolej Abu Bakar) going to 1 Utama Shopping mall.

2.50pm, got ping from ANG at Jalan Bandar Utama 11/7. It's a long trip and I didnt call her. The lone guy hopped in the cab then I realised that he's going to Port Dickson. Aiyah! I told him I cannot send him since it's outstation destination. I offered him to send with double fare, but he refused saying that the uber flash is already double. When I checked the rider apps, it shows that the uberflash fare is indeed more expensive (almost double) than my UberXL. It's a relief, so I cancelled the trip.

4.30pm, SHA at Jln Wan Kadir 4 TTDi going to Pavilion KL. A pax of 4 adult with 3 kids, a Singaporean family who lived in JB.

5.13pm, got ping from NNY at 3 Jln Kia Peng but the she put at the wrong location. After 5min, I cancelled with reason "no rider show."

5.44pm, I called it a day.

8.34am, DRR at Jln Pria 1 going to Smart College Maluri. 6 Malay students are not smart after all. They thought the fare only few sen due to their promo code.

8.53am, ZAR at E&O Jln Tengah. A Brunei family with the husband sitting next to me. He used to study at UIA Gombak for 1 year. They are going to Ikea Damansara. He even didnt know that Ikea Cheras existed recently, which is nearer. Note: later I found one the girl's spectacles on the back seat.

9.51am, EUG at The Westside II Desa Park City. 4 pax going to KLIA. Yay!

11.54am, CRM at Mirage by the Lake. 2 pax of pinoy moving out to Cybersquare Apex Tower. She gave extra tip rm2.30.

12.23pm, BLZ, alone a Russia girl at Cyber Suria 7. I sent her to Poslaju Cyberjaya. But she was shocked to see the fare is higher. She called her girlfriend at the poslaju and paid me the fare.

12.46pm, NGG at Shaftsbury Square. When arrived athe back of the mall which I followed the Uber pin, then I called the amoi, she said in the front mall at the "guardian" which I wrongly heard like "giant". OTL. 5 pax of local chinese students going to Wisma Mustapha Kamal.

Break at 2.06pm for friday prayer at Masjid Raja Fi Sabilillah.

2.43pm, PRV 5 pax of India expats at Sankranti Indian Cuisine going to Kementerian Kastam Diraja Putrajaya. One of the guys complained about the difficulties to fold the center seat. I gave them 1 star.

4.18pm, ابراهيم pax of 4 young Arab students at Taiban Mat'am restaurant near KFC cyberjaya. When they hopped in the cab, they wanted to cancel due to only 4 pax on my UberXL, I dont mind I told them. But they later they said just continue the trip.

At drop off, there was a meksalleh asking whether I could send her to KL Sentral. I said okay. She is going to airport flying to Thailand tonight. The traffice was bad, later she gave me extra rm6 for the trouble. Lavia is an Austria lady, who just visited Nepal and Australia. She said, there is no Uber in Austria, only taxi.

When reached at the hotel lobby, he wanted to go to the Aerobus going to Singapore by the roadside which was few steps away. But I told them to get off at the lobby as the front car was not moving. I gave him 1 star. Panda lela lah.

8.35am, NHF with husband at Jln Keramat Hujung going to Subang Airport. Yay!

While ondway, Waze told me to use the shortcut going to LDP instead Federal Hiway or NKVE. Then on the junction, there was a motorbike who didnt stop at the redlight and I was not focus so I hit the divider. Kannina. This India guy who sat behind me irritated me too when he said "why takes so long to get to Pavilion? normally 10min?" His local chinese friend calmed him down by telling him the reason of "traffic jam". How can a driver reach the Pavilion from Subang airport in 10minutes? Panda lela lah.

The small girl always crying maybe just woke up from the sleep. Even the boy who sat behind me also very talkative and tried to talk back and argue in English to them. Both parents said, "boy, you want to be a spoiled brat or what? We'll buy the book at the airport." They just visited her cousin in Melbourne who works as construction and does Uber partime. EHT works in printing industry. They transitted in KL for 4 days before flying back to Dhaka.

After dropoff at KLIA, I just drove off to Cyberjaya.

IZH who sat next to me said they were coming back from Hong Kong holiday yesterday, and were flying back to Kota Bharu this afternoon. IZH a teacher also said he already registered Grabcar in KB but not driving yet.

9.58am, while approaching Cyberjaya from KLIA2 just now, got ping from SYF 5 pax of Uitm Dengkil students going to far far away the Mines. Actually they wanted to visit the Big Wolf Book expo.

Then I drove straight to KLCC using inner highway to Cheras to find trip to the airport again. Today I need to do some run errands in the afternoon.

He was also furious that he was charged rm5 for the previous trip as the driver cancelled him. His budget only rm6 and wanted to pay on the next trip, but I told him that Uber will ban him. So he asked the Uber customer service number which I gave him instantly. He complained to the operator and later he came up to his house and left his laptop bag on my cab to collect the rm20 money for tthe fare. I gave him the balance. He didn't look so happy. Dear diary, this is my first time picking up Nigeria rider on Uber XL bcoz normally they would choose Grab.

While approaching the guarded house, that nyonya talked to his son about the passing MRT Rapid KL bus. She reckoned that the bus maybe from Tun Razak Exchange. The son agreed. But suddenly I remember a story about the Tun Razak Exchange. So I told them about the Tun Razak Exchange new tower that will be taller than Petronas Twin Towers. It's called Menara Najib for his beloved wife like Taj Mahal in Indon and later the tower would be named 'Ros Mahal'. Then she laughed and laughed, "that's a funny joke and for the first time I heard it." At the drop off, the fare was rm12, but she said, she wanted to give rm13 instead (aiyah) bcoz she liked my nice and big cab and "I like your joke!" 11.33am, 13min 8.4km LYD at Aeon Permas Jaya (Lavender entrance). 4 pax plus 2 young kids going back to Today's Market where I was waiting for the ping just now.

12.22pm, got ping from TRSYA at the Renaissance hotel with 'long trip 40+min' and 1.4x surge rate remarks. I messaged her. She told me wanted to go to KTM Segamat. I asked for the 'double fare' due to no riders back to JB. She then cancelled the booking.
Note: Lesson learned from my previous KL - Ipoh trip, it was not worth it to take the job without the 'double fare'.

DAV sit next to me is Singaporean Indian married to his Malaysian/Singapore Chinese lady. Her mother is sick and paralyse and they stay in the hotel for Singapore hospital checkup, but the doctor said he cannot scan her due to her high blood pressure. I send them home at Taman Anggerik. She texted me to fetch her at the Dewan as other drivers would do - she said, but I refused - that's not my normal practice. I just follow the pin. "I am a smart driver," I said inside my heart. After 5min waiting outside the gate, I cancelled with note - "no rider show" and got rm5. Infact, she and her friends waited inside Sekolah Mohd Khalid. Later she ping again, I accidentally accepted bcoz I never thought from her again. Then I cancelled, this time I put the same note.

5.01pm, RKA at Hung Hung Hotel near Plaza Pelangi. The hotel signage is small that I couldn't see it so after texting, I go around one more time. This tudung ahkak likes to talk too. At first I reckon that she would be he bcoz of her 'rough voice'. But how come he/she wore a tudung? But think of it, Sajat also wore a tudung. OTL. She liked to call me 'abang'. Aiyah, I felt so itchy itchy. She offered me 'sweets' but I turned her down nicely as I have many sweet spicy hacks on my cup. She also asked me nicely, "abang start Uber pukul brape? abang sudah makan?" I just replied accordingly. At the dropoff at Plaza Angsana, she told me that she actually working in Singapore and wanted to see her boyfriend for a quick drink.

She asked me to send them to Masai Bus Terminal, but she need to use her smartphone to book another Uber or Grab car. 5 little girls at the back row with 2 adults, actually she wanted to add more adults, but I told her it's against the Uber policy. After she cancelled, I got rm5, and this unaccountable trip.

Instead of driving thru traffic-jam packed Pasir Gudang highway, I used the longer but faster EDL coastway. Surprisingly, the fare was exactly as per their upfront price. Nobody complains.

I told him cannot send using Uber app as the long journey is not worth it. When I asked for double fare since no rider on the return trip, later very very late he replied that he agreed. But when I arrived at Larkin Utama Condo post guard, the guard lady told me cannot enter, only park outside. I messaged him again and again. Later I found out that it's just a game. Pandelela lah. Okaylah, at least I got rm5 for cancelling as 'rider no show' reason.

7.37am, VINEETH ping from far far away Nusa Perdana Service Apartment with skyrocketing surge of 2.6x. When I called him, he said he was in hurry, so he cancelled. Later, he ping twice again and I ignored the guy. The surge rate became 3.0x. Pandelela lah.

But, later when I was stuck new Pasir Gudang Highway on Jln Kempas, I decided to follow Waze using the Jln Skudai. I sent them to the same Perindu 1 flat at Senai.

4.08pm, got ping from BTT at Senai airport going to Renaissance hotel Permas Jaya. The Penang family wanted to go holiday in Singapore and asking me the standard fare for driver transporting them to the island. But I told them I am not available currently, but I would find other driver.

Almost 5pm, getting tired. My daughter also wanted me to go shopping for some groceries at Tesco. So I drove HOME sweet HOME.

Also I learned today, my beloved cikJnulekasnova although can fit 7 passengers, but I saw on the Uber apps it shall be for 6 persons only. So I shall be careful next time not to make life hard herself to cikJnulekasnova.

Yesterday I was sick and took a rest and slept only on my bed.

7.02am, starting cikJnulekasnova engine and Uber apps. I set destination to KLIA and plan to go straight home to JB after the airport trip. No ping for a long long time.

To fillup ron95 at Shell Jalan Ampang (Risda) for rm75.07.

8.32am, nearby Japanese man at Shangri La hotel. 4 pax, 2 luggages and 1 wheelchair. All the way to KLIA airport, not KLIA2 he said. The man and 2 ladies were sitting in the middle row. The old lady who was paralysed sitting next to me who always said, "honto honto." They talked and talked all the way. At the drop off, I said, "minasan chotto matte kudasai ne," and "koko ni ie desu ne." The man told me my Japanese is very good. "No, no, watashi no nihongo o warui desu," I said.

All the way to JB.

2.06pm, 5min 2.9km to pickup Mas DOR. 7 pax of young Indon men sending them to Aeon Indahputra Kulai.

I waited another ping but all the pings were very far far away, ie more than 20km away. Aiyah.

6.44am, got ping from ELL, 10min 6.6km at Jalan 52 Kg Cheras Baru. While ondway, she called me asking whether I can send her to Kg Majidee JB. Walahwehh. She was surprised that I didnt know the destination on Uber apps. Whatthefish. She's going alone with many big things which she asked the fare. I told her that JB is an outstation destination and I was asking extra fare which she texted me, "mahal." But I told her that minyak also mahal mah. Later, she cancelled and tried to book other Uber drivers which got to me few times since I was nearest to her and I ignored them.

7.59am, got ping 9min 3.5km from VEE at KL Sentral. I didn't call and just drove to the pickup point. VEE hopped in, 4 pax going to Jonker Walk Melaka. Walahweh. I told her I could send her to Melaka which she shouted at me from my back, "if cannot go why uncle accepted it?" I told her that driver cannot see the rider destination until start trip. Kannina. Dont scold scold one lah. This is Uber fault. They got out of the cab and cursed at me. Charcheebye lah.

9.41am, while at Masjid India Leboh Ampang, 11min 2.3km from TLL at The Ascott Hotel KL. An Arab family, TLL, his wife and 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl). At first I thought they were going to KLIA. When I started the trip, they are going to Meru VAlley Ipoh. What can I do? I rejected 2 long trips already and not this one. So without complaint, I sent them to Ipoh for 2.30 hours, knowing I wouldn't get any rider back to KL city center. Lesson learned: please call the rider for long trip.

Dear diary, today I completed only 5 trips in 10 hr 31 min. And I made I report to Uber regarding the toll fare from Jalan Duta to Ipoh (S) exit was not recorded on the final trip earnings. 5 min later, Uber cs replied that it will included next week's statement. Cross my finger lah.

DRIVING CIK JNULEKASNOVA FOR UBERXL FOR THE FIRST TIME

Dear diary, after driving Proton Preve for Uber for two weeks in KL, I reckon that it's not worth it, especially on the high fuel consumption. To use my son's Proton Saga FLX is feasible, but he's working in Pengerang now and the harsh working environment over there will damage my beloved other car, cikputih if I wanted to exchange between the two cars. So, after discussing with wife, she let me use the family car, Toyota Innova for UberXL. So this is my first experience on using cik Jnulekasnova for the first time in JB for Uber.

Starting the car engine at 6.43am and the odometer reads at 57,900km.

Trip no. 1.
6.55am, 8min 4.4km to pickup a lone minachi VML at Flat Tasek but she put the wrong location inside the Maya Heights terrace houses. Later I sent her to Klinik Pasir Gudang which she also just typing the pin location at the general 'Pasir Gudang' which is nearer. At the drop off, the Uber apps hang and while waiting for the apps calculating the fare, madam VML gave the fare of RM13 as she told me that it's the upfront fare on her apps. I took it and when I drove out and the Uber apps finally showed me the final fare of rm17.88, I decided to return back to collect extra rm4 from her. She was furious but eventually gave in to pay me the extra fare with rm100 note. Later, I wrote a report to Uber about the fare discrepancies which I got the answer instantly.

Trip no. 2.
7.45am, 13min 8.2km NRL and her friend waiting at far far away BSN Masai and the apps showed me the long trip 35min+. When pickep up, I saw they already waiting with many small small bags as they wanted to go to Flex LTD Senai, not the airport as I was expecting earlier. Aiyah. It was a long drive, about one hour.

9.52am, under tree canopies at Masjid Senai Airport, I decided to call Uber customer service (CS) to set up my apps only to pick up UberXL trips. Ref: 1-800-81-8459. The pinoy lady talked to me and professionally processed my application. She later told me that my application will be ready in 24 to 48 hours, and 70 hours the most. I requested the same for my Uber KL account. But later I reckon, all my ping are UberXL trips. Yeay!

10.27am, 9min 9.4km to pickup AAA, 6 pax of young local chinese 2 boys and 4 girls with their vacation luggages at McD Saleng. When I arrived I thought he ordered uberX, I scolded him to request UberX with more than 4 pax. But later when I checked on the apps, it was indeed UberXL. Aiyah, so embarrasing, but I apologised to him (AAA)! I asked them to go in the mpv and sent them to Larkin Sentral. The surging rate was 1.6x. The boy who sat next to me looks very langsi to me, but he's the one who paid me the fare. Luckily the final calculated fare is right bcoz no traffic jam.

Trip no. 4.
11.28am, a lone MKS at the same Larkin Sentral waiting at the teksi stand which I told him not to do it again next time because the abam teksi kept honking me just now. MKS said "xper xper."  But I told him again that it's not nice and pity to the abam teksi there. This young man likes to talk too. He said, he commutes from Kluang to Larkin Sentral everyday by bus. That's mean, he's wasting 4 hourse of sitting inside the bus. Walawehh. It's more saving, he said, "dulu saya sewa bilik rm450 sebulan - byk mahal!" I sent him to Olympia College JB.

12.24pm, SSN 10min 5.7km ping me to pickup her sick husband at Pusat Dialisis Johor Jaya. I sent him to Block N Permas 7.

Trip no. 6.
1.10pm, SHK a lone Nepal guy at kedai Taman Rinting, alone and I sent him to Masai bus station. I told this guy, next time please use UberX, after he's grumbling about the high fare.

Noon break, go HOME and noon nap.

Trip no. 7.
4.28pm, 14min 12.8km far far away at Aeon Tebrau to pickup 6 young amois. I sent them to nearby Austin Heights Adventure and Water parks. The surging rate was 1.7x. Good lah.

Trip no. 8.
5.02pm, 9min 3.6km to pickup May and her family of 5 adults and 1 baby at the same Aeon Tebrau City. I sent them to far far away Jalan Silat Gayung Bandar Selesa Jaya. The journey was about one hour including the infamous traffic jam at Highway Pasir Gudang. Madam May paid me the upfront fare, but I told her that the upfront fare she gave me not include conditions of traffic jam and other distance which may occur during the trip. She nodded. Later at the drop off, she paid me extra rm2 as per Uber apps.

6.09pm, break at Petronas Bandar Selesa Jaya. Pee and pray.
6.33pm, still no ping I moved on to Aeon Bukit Indah.
6.55pm, Petronas Bukit Indah. Pee and pray.

No ping, I drove on to JB CS using Jalan Pantai.

Trip no. 9.
7.19pm, 12min 12.3km 1.3x to pickup TYY and his 5 workers at Shell Paradigm Mall (a new shopping mall, old: abandoned Kemayan City mall). I sent them to McD Jalan Tun Fatimah, TUTA.

The last trip, no. 10.
8.05pm, 5min 1.6km to pickup KLV, 6 pax (5 male 1 female) Singaporean and local chinese at nearby restaurant Jalan Pendekar 2. I sent them to JB City Square. Ironically, the Uber apps and the Waze showing me the trip is going to be a one hour journey which I doubted it.

Wife already calling calling to pickup my son at his tuition center. I set the destination to HOME sweet HOME. As expected, no ping all the way HOME. Buy satay before pickup my son.

Dear diary, today I completed only 10 trips in 10hr 25min, and all of them are long trips with surging rate. I like it compare to normal UberX. But the most thing I like about driving UberXL, I dont need to bother entertaining cheapskate trips with promo codes with stingy riders paying only rm1.20 or rm2.58 or free rides. #bcukurje
